Best Life
by Genie Webster

Rene Best & Genie, guitars
Engineered by Lee Taggart (very rough, work in progress)
Well I've been in the dark
And I've been torn apart
I've seen troubles most people avoid.

But on the coin's other side
There's a heart gratified
And a feeling of unbounded joy.

Because a heart that's been broken has known devotion
And to let go don't have to be so bad.
I've stumbled, I've grown,
Still my life's all my own
And it's the Best Life that I've ever had.

Please forgive me if I don't sympathize
When you let little setbacks make your heart all paralyzed.

We all weave a web
Between the flow and the ebb.
We attract to our circle those things
That can teach us to love
In ways we haven't yet thought of.
We push away or pull in what that brings.

Because a heart that's been broken has known devotion
And to let go don't have to be so bad.
Well I've paid my dues
And I don't have much left to lose
Still it's the Best Life that I've ever had
Yes... It' the Best Life that I've ever had!

A gratitude story
Inspired by my brother
John Fudella... who never
felt sorry for himself and
who always made the
most with the hand he is
dealt in life.
